Cardient® tribo is a coating with extremely low friction values. At the same time wear is reduced dramatically due to the extreme hardness.

The high hardness is caused by the ion bomarbment (forging) during the build-up of the layers. The parameters are optimized so that low friction is combined with a high wear resistance.

Application areas include motor parts such as piston rings, valve components, big-end bearings, cam-followers as well as gear parts and bearings.

Materials that can be coated are metals, ceramics and special plastics as well as temperature sensitive materials such as hardened steel.
